I failed to look deeply enough into the reviews of this set of volumes and was a bit surprised by what I received.
I was expecting a much more scholarly approach to the vocabulary of the Greek NT. This is more of a sort of "cheat" for people who want to come off as knowledgeable about the Greek without really studying the language. I can't find any actual Greek at all, just transliterations. It does NOT cover all 27 books and the third volume seems to be some sort of "inspirational" work along the lines of Rick Warren or Joyce Meyers Neither exactly my theological cup o' tea.
The fourth volume is the author's translation of, I assume, the entire text. Well, kenneth wuest new testament free download, OK. I'm not suggesting that there is anything wrong with the book, as long as you know what you are getting.
I'll be sure and do due diligence next time. BTW, if someone can suggest a truly scholarly work on the vocabulary of the Greek NT, preferably utilizing actual Greek, I would be most grateful. Kenneth Wuest has done extensive exegesis of the Bible in these four volumes.
Many suggest he gets too much from his translation of the Greek text, I don't agree as I much prefer too much as opposed to too little, kenneth wuest new testament free download. Loved these. They're well worth the time it takes to study them. The Word Studies includes discussions of most of the Greek words in most of the books of the Kenneth wuest new testament free download Testament, including all the epistles of Paul.
When I open a new book, I'm on alert for doctrinal problems. Wuest's books have doctrinal problems, they are among common differences in mainline denominations, and do not detract from the value of their study of the words in the Greek New Testament.
